From the stage to the rooftops of London… and now to your vacation home.

Hi, I’m Chesney—and I’m so glad you’ve found the Practically Perfect House. This place isn’t just an investment for me; it’s a milestone. At 29, I finally get to stop telling people I live with Mom and Dad when I’m not at sea—and instead, I can welcome you into a home that reflects who I am.

My story starts in Kennewick, Washington, where I was born, though I don’t remember much because by age two my family moved to Orlando. Dad worked for Walt Disney World, and Mom was a school counselor. Disney magic seeped into me early.

In early elementary, I was busy with baseball, choir, and school performances. At eight, we moved to Virginia, where I added football, snow skiing, violin, and theatre to the mix. Our family traveled everywhere—museums in D.C., Broadway shows in New York, roller coasters in Ohio, history in Williamsburg, even the charm of Charleston and Savannah. Those journeys planted a love of travel and performance deep in me.

The real turning point came in middle school when we moved to Houston, Texas. At a summer church camp, a dance teacher noticed me leading line dances and singing nonstop.  When school began, I admitted my dream—to be in something like High School Musical—and that meant I needed dance lessons. One class quickly became eight. Soon, I was competing in New York, winning awards, and chasing auditions. By the time I attended the Orange County School of the Arts, dance had fully taken over from sports. After graduating, I studied dance at Grand Canyon University, even playing Riff in West Side Story. My senior year, Princess Cruises auditioned in Phoenix and hired me on the spot–and after five years with them–I’ve moved to Royal Caribbean Cruises.  If you enjoy watching dance, feel free to check out some of my work at www.chesneythompson.com.

I’ve danced across more than 40 countries. I’ve eaten pasta in Italy, seen shows in London’s West End, snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef, wandered through Middle-earth in New Zealand, and soaked up the beauty of Japan and Singapore. Still, my favorite sailings are through the Caribbean and Mexico. Along the way, I’ve made lifelong friends—including many from the UK—and now my girlfriend, Lydia, a singer from Liverpool, shares this journey with me.

That love of Disney stories and English whimsy inspired the Practically Perfect House. From Mary Poppins on the rooftops to a Cinderella carriage bed, from Alice in Wonderland to 101 Dalmatians, the rooms echo the stories that have shaped me. I couldn’t have done this without my parents’ steady support and Lydia’s creative insight. While I won’t actually move in myself until June 2026, I know this home will be full of magic until then—because you’ll be part of its story.

My company, opened specifically for this venture, is Crown and Quill, LLC.  It is a nod to royalty and storybook magic, perfect for this home.

My hope for you is simple: take the chance to feel six again. Find joy in the little details, laugh a little louder, and let yourself rediscover wonder. That’s the heart of this house—and the gift I hope every guest takes with them.

About the Managers

Not a management company—just parents keeping a dream alive.

We’re Heidi and Eric—otherwise known as “Mom and Dad” to Chesney. While he’s out dancing across the seas, we’re the ones keeping the Practically Perfect House running smoothly.

Eric is the grounded one—he set the budget, keeps the numbers in line, and brings a practical eye to every decision. By day, he manages finances for GE Vernova. Heidi is the dreamer—she brings the ideas, creative spark, and vision to life. When she’s not planning out themed rooms, she’s running her solo law practice, Lifeguarding Legacies, helping clients in Arizona and Florida with wills, trusts, and probate. Together, we work from home, which means we have the flexibility to give this home our personal attention.

Chesney, of course, has the final say—approving (or occasionally vetoing) our ideas like the “manager” of it all. But if you notice the touches of whimsy and themed flourishes throughout the house, you can safely assume they were Heidi’s ideas, grounded by Eric’s practical hand, and (thankfully) approved by Chesney.

We’re doing all of this with him while simultaneously dipping our own toe in the vacation rental market.  We are opening a home in nearby Kissimmee called “Home to Holiday.”  So we are managing both while maintaining our “day jobs.”

Raising a child in the performing arts with Disney magic always in the background has been quite an adventure. From Eric’s time working at Walt Disney World, to family travels filled with theatre, music, and storytelling, our home life has always been sprinkled with imagination. Those influences shaped Chesney’s path as a professional dancer—and now, they’ve shaped this house as well.

The Practically Perfect House is more than a vacation rental. It’s our son’s very first home, one he’ll move into in 2026. While we’re delighted to share it with guests in the meantime, we also hope you’ll enjoy it and care for it as if it were your own. Every detail we’ve added was chosen with both you—and Chesney—in mind.
